A butterfly will continue to feed and go about its daily routine with 70 percent of its wing surface missing. Compared to an ordinary butterfly, there is virtually no difference.
The butterfly can still fly with 70% of its wings missing. Predators usually attack the eye-spots on the wing first, which allows the butterfly to escape.
Butterflies use another trick to outsmart their enemies: the zigzag way they fly. Their unpredictable flying pattern confuse predators, making them difficult to catch.
