You can attract a wide variety of butterflies like the purple bog, silver meadow, alberta alpine, lavenda, zerene and others by planting a patch of wildflowers. You can buy a packet of wildflower seeds and grow them in pots or containers. Wildflowers usually do well in poor soils, so replacing well-composited mix with sandy soil is recommended. If you live in the right climate, the butterfly shrub or buddleia bush will attract butterflies in droves.
