HOW DO ANTS CARE FOR THEIR YOUNG?

Eggs are bundled together in compact units, and after they hatch, the ants feed the larvae on a regular basis. When the larvae progress to the pupal stage, the ants continue caring for them. Some species of ants keep the environment around the pupae air conditioned by moving them around the nest: by carrying them deeper down in the nest during the day and bringing them back up when the coolness of nightfall approaches.
