HOW DO DRAGONFLIES DIFFER FROM DAMSELFLIES?

Dragonflies are usually larger and more powerful fliers than damselflies.
Dragonflies hold both pairs of wings horizontally while damselflies fold them above their body.

Although dragonflies look similar to damselflies, they differ in many ways. First of all, dragonflies are usually larger and powerful fliers than damselflies. However, the main difference is in the way dragonflies hold their wings when they are resting. While dragonflies hold both pairs of wings horizontally, damselflies fold them above their body.

Dragonflies and damselflies belong to the Order of Odonata, but their suborders differ. The former's suborder is Epiprocta and latter's is Zygoptera.  Also, the eyes of dragonflies meet in the back of their head.

Both dragonflies and damselflies enjoy feasting on flies and mosquitoes.

Wolf spiders that live in the Arctic tundra enjoy eating the springtails, but spiders lose appetite them during summer the temperatures are warmer. The springtails feed on fungus, which in turn decomposes melting land matter to form form carbon dioxide and methane. The two gases are responsible to global warming, which means that the more wolf spiders feed on alternative food sources the better for global warming.
