The best way to get rid of houseflies around the home is to interrupt the breeding cycle. A female housefly lays eggs on refuse or manure. They hatch into larvae (maggots), which burrow themselves in and feed on the dung. The worms turn into pupae, which grow into adult flies.
You can fight flies by examining your surrounds and clearing up refuse. Cover garbage bins adequately and disinfect them regularly. To prevent flies from bleeding, make sure you dispose of manure or cover it appropriately. Discourage neighbors from dumping filth near your home and keep your house clean.
