HOW MANY QUAIL SPECIES ARE THERE?

The King Quail, which is found in Asia and the islands between Southeast Asia and the Americas, comes in many colors: brown, blue, silver, maroon and almost black.

Quails are small ground-dwelling birds that live all over the globe except Antarctica. There are over 130 species of quails that vary in color, according to species. For example, the king quail found in Asia and the islands between Southeast Asia and the Americas comes in many colors: brown, blue, silver, maroon and almost black. However, in India, there is the black-breasted quail (Coturnix Coromandelica) found in the jungle and the brown-colored Japanese quail (Coturnix Coturnix Japonica). People breed the Japanese quail for meat.

Wolf spiders that live in the Arctic tundra enjoy eating the springtails, but spiders lose appetite them during summer the temperatures are warmer. The springtails feed on fungus, which in turn decomposes melting land matter to form form carbon dioxide and methane. The two gases are responsible to global warming, which means that the more wolf spiders feed on alternative food sources the better for global warming.
