WHERE DO EMPEROR PENGUINS LIVE?

penguins in the cold regions
Penguins are flightless birds and from their breeding grounds, they walk long distances to the sea in search of food.
Penguins colony

Emperor penguins live on Antarctic ice and surrounding waters. Their feather coats trap air within them and have a lining of fat under their skin, two factors that help them to survive the coldest winters. They employ a third tactic to keep warm: huddling together as a colony. What is impressive is that once the penguins in the middle of the group get warm, they unselfishly go to the periphery and those at edge move to the center. They employ this tactic especially when there are cold winds, which can be tough to stand individually.
