WHY DO DRAGONFLIES CHANGE THEIR POSITIONS THROUGHOUT THE DAY?

Dragonflies are cold-blooded, which means that their body temperature varies based on their surroundings. Dragonflies bask in the sun to warm up their muscles and get the energy to fly.
Dragonflies rest in a vertical position early in the morning and may assume a horizontal position during the day to catch as much sunlight as possible. After soaking up enough sunshine, you may find them resting in the shade.
